RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wendell firefighter is hospitalized after being injured while fighting a barn fire near Rolesville Thursday afternoon.
Fire investigators said a fire hose burst, hitting firefighter Chris Liberman in the stomach.
The fire was located east of Roseville on Linda Rea Drive off Pulley Town Road.A garage that housed two trucks, lumber, ammunition, propane and other personal items was destroyed.
Liberman is expected to undergo surgery Friday at Raleigh Community Hospital.
