Prosecutors To Seek Death Penalty In Murder Of Cary Teacher

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County prosecutor will seek the death penalty in the murder of a first-grade teacher.

District Attorney Howard Cummings made the announcement in court Monday.

Ian Campbell, 29, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his fiancee, 33-year-old Heather Anne Domenie, last July.

Domenie taught first-grade at Fred A. Olds Elementary School. Domenie and Campbell lived in Cary.
