<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Two men were shot to death Friday inside a parking deck at Northgate Mall.

Police say 23-year-old Tommy Sowell, of Durham, was lurking around the parking area around 6:30 Friday when he approached 24-year-old Lewis Patterson's Ford Expedition.

Police say both men then started shooting at each other. Police say Patterson, whose last known address was in Charlotte, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sowell died at Duke University Hospital.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the shooting. The mall was crowded when the incident happened due to a concert.
