Posted Updated

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — Jury selection has begun in the trial of a man accused of killing a Fayetteville police officer.

Quintel Augustine is accused of shooting Officer Roy Turner to death last November. The trial was moved to Brunswick County because of pre-trial publicity.

Augustine could face the death penalty if convicted.

Turner was the first Fayetteville police officer killed in the line of duty in 25 years.
