RALEIGH, N.C. — Some people in Wake County will get a say when it comes to a new convention center in Raleigh.

The City Council and Wake County Board of Commissioners approved Monday a citizens committee to study and evaluate the need for a new convention center and hotel.

The citizens committee will present a proposed plan for a new convention center to the elected officials in February.
