Town Providing Free Devices To Hillsborough Water System Customers

Posted September 6, 2002

— The Town of Hillsborough is providing free water saving devices to customers of the Hillsborough water system.

The Town is offering low flow shower heads, low flow faucet aerators and water saving toilet retro-flappers beginning Friday.

The devices can reduce water usage for fixtures installed before 1996.

Homes that were constructed or had new fixtures installed after 1996 should already have low flow devices installed, due to the revised plumbing code.

Customers of the Town of Hillsborough Water System may pick-up as many as 2 shower heads, 2 toilet flappers, and up to 3 aerators for use in their home or business at the Town Annex at 137 North Churton Street, beside the Police Department. The Annex is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Customers must provide proof that they are served by the Town of Hillsborough Water System (water bill or receipt, identification, etc.) to receive any of the devices.
