Authorities Look For Suspect Responsible For Turning Off Hydrant

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh firefighters are searching for a man who they say put them in serious danger.
Firefighters were fighting a fire at the Dominion Courtney Place on Sunday when their fire hoses suddenly went dry.
Officials said someone purposely turned off a valve on a hydrant. They believe it was a man who was mad when the fire hoses barricaded his car in the complex.
"[There] could have been very severe consequences," said Chief Earl Fowler of the Raleigh Fire Department.
Six to 10 firefighters were in the complex when their hoses stopped running water. Luckily, they escaped from the building without injury.
