Lawmakers Closer To Blocking Urine Sales For Drug Tests

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Lawmakers are close to making it a crime to defraud drug tests.

State senators passed a bill Thursday aimed at people like Kenneth Curtis and his customers. In a story WRAL aired, Curtis has sold his own urine over the Internet, along with a kit that helps people beat the tests. He believes drug tests are an invasion of privacy.

The legislation now moves on to the House.
