RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said there is no link between the murder of Stephanie Bennett and a suspected serial killer.
Richard Evonitz killed himself last month in Florida after being chased by police. He was a suspect in the murders of several young girls.
After checking, police say they have no reason to believe Evonitz killed Bennett, who was found murdered in her Raleigh apartment in May.
Police still have no suspects in that case.
