RALEIGH, N.C. — Hoke County Sheriff Jim Davis still has not fully recovered from a car accident last month.
Davis wrote a letter to county commissioners and told them he is out of work indefinitely.
He was hurt in a car accident May 21 after a tractor-trailer struck and totaled his patrol car on U.S. 401.
He was treated and released from the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
