DURHAM, N.C. — Hillside High School's principal has resigned after only a year on the job.
Henry Pankey replaced longtime Hillside Principal Richard Hicks last summer. The school board removed Hicks for passing students who should have failed for missing too many classes.
Pankey is leaving Durham for New York City.
Some say Pankey did not receive support from the central office and the school board did not support him.
