RALEIGH, N.C. — Next year, North Carolina will honor the Wright Brothers with the
2003 Festival of Flight
celebration.
Lawmakers and executives gathered at the Exploris Museum in Raleigh Wednesday to learn about the plans, which include exhibits from NASA and the U.S. Air Force.
An historic 1931 Delta DC-3 will make the trip to Fayetteville for the 11-day celebration.
The 2003 Festival of Flight takes place May 16 - 26.
