Fort Bragg Couple Faces Child Pornography Charges; Wife Claims She's Innocent
Fayetteville Police believe a Fort Bragg major and his wife knew about pornographic pictures involving boys and failed to report them, but the woman said detectives have it all wrong and insists she has nothing to do with it.
Posted — UpdatedAfter two years of marriage, Jennifer Sill says now she realizes she never really knew her husband, Fort Bragg Maj. Scott Sill. She and the Special Forces soldier face sexual exploitation and child abuse charges involving young boys, but she said it is her husband who is responsible, not her.
"This is a field grade officer that's gotten away with molesting children, and nobody will help," Jennifer Sill said.
Last month, investigators found child pornography on Jennifer Sill's computer in the couple's Tartan Court home off-post. She said she did not know the pictures were there. She claims her husband often looked at pornography on her computer and says he is the one who took the photographs.
Despite the charges she faces, Sill said her first priority is setting the record straight to her family and friends.
"I know what they're going to think about me, but before they assume and jump to conclusions, get to know the truth," she said.
Fayetteville police said they do not know who to believe in this case. WRAL was unable to get a comment from Scott Sill.
Fort Bragg officials said Scott Sill is assigned to the U.S. Army JFK Special Warfare Center and School. He has returned to duty, and the unit is not taking any action against him until the case is resolved.
