RALEIGH, N.C. — The State Board of Education made changes Thursday to the way it gives out teacher bonuses.
Under the changes, teachers at low-performing schools that meet new standards will get as much as $1,800 in bonus money, which is an increase of $300.
However, teachers at better schools will see their maximum bonus drop from $1,500 to $1,200.
