CLAYTON, N.C. — Funeral services were held Monday morning for a teen who died during a single-car accident Friday.
Investigators said Adam Peters, 16, crashed his brother's Camaro less than 1 mile from their home.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash, but they do not think Peters was drinking. Two of Peters' friends who were in the car survived the crash.
Friends formed a cross out of the broken pieces of the fence smashed in the wreck. Many people learned of Peters' death during Clayton High School's graduation Friday evening.
Funeral services were held at Mount Moriah Baptist Church on Old Garner Road.
