Wake County Students Allowed To Use Cell Phones At End Of School Day

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Cell phones are no longer against school rules at the end of a school day in Wake County.

The school board approved a change which allows students to have cell phones on campus. However, students may only use them after the instructional day is over.

Many parents wanted their kids to be in touch by phone after school, which led to students hiding their phones.

School officials stress phones are still off-limits during class and in hallways.
