No Charges Will Be Filed In Chatham County Bus Accident

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — No charges will be filed in connection with an accident that killed a 5-year-old Chatham County boy in February.

A pickup truck, driven by Willie Johnson, hit Terrance Howard as he ran to catch the school bus. Troopers said there is no way Johnson could have stopped his truck in time.

They also say Howard and his stepbrother, 10-year-old Monterris Davis, ran into the road before the bus stopped.

Davis was also hit in the accident, but he was not seriously hurt.
