Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill police said they have identified several possible suspects in the attempted abduction of a fifth-gradegirl at Frank Porter Graham Elementary on Wednesday.

Police said a man grabbed the student as she walked from the cafeteria to her classroom.

At a meeting Monday afternoon, parents requested more security, including an officer at the school and better fencing.

A group of parent volunteers are currently helping patrol the school throughout the day.
