RALEIGH, N.C. — A worker took an unexpected morning break at N.C. State in Raleigh when he spent more than an hour stuck in a manhole.
Chuck Wood, 39, was doing electrical work at Poe Hall on South Campus Friday when he fell more than 10 feet down a manhole.
After more than a hour later, crews were able to rescue Wood from the manhole.
Wood is listed in stable condition at Rex Hospital.
