DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police believe one man is responsible for several recent attacks in the city.
Police said four incidents took place just miles apart in west Durham from Guess Road to North Gregson Street.
In each case, police said the suspect used a weapon to commit the robbery and then he assaulted the victim. Police said each victim gave police a similar description of the suspect.
Investigators hope a police profile will help prevent more attacks and lead them to the suspect.
"The reason for doing that is to try to predict when this individual may strike again, what his mindset is and what type of background he comes from," said Lt. N.J. Blake of the Durham Police Department.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in these cases over the past few weeks. Police said that neither man turned out to be the suspect in these cases.
