RALEIGH, N.C. — A wall collapse claimed the life of a construction worker at the Raleigh Country Club.
Police say Oscar Gonzalez was helping remove an old interior brick wall Tuesday morning when the top two-thirds of it dislodged and toppled onto him. He died at the scene.
Police say Gonzalez had a wife and two children in Mexico.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident and Gonazalez's employer, Sigmon Construction. Police say Gonzalez worked for that company for two years.
