MICRO, N.C. — Johnston County's Sheriff is helping a mobile home park clean up its act.
Sheriff Steve Bizzell considered having the Beaulah in the Pines mobile home park ruled a nuisance area or even shut down after two murders there within 24 hours last weekend.
The sheriff said he is working with the owner to make things better for residents, including doing a better job with background checks of people looking to live there.
Bizzell said that the
answers calls to the mobile home park on a daily basis, and said that he is increasing patrols in the area.
He hopes residents see a difference within 90 days.
