New Space Allows Fayetteville Man To Continue Cycle Of Giving

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The man known as the "Bicycle Man" will soon have a new place to repair donated bicycles.

For nine years, Moses Mathis has been fixing used bikes and giving them to children who otherwise could not afford one.

Mathis was repairing the bikes in an old store, rent-free, but lost the space last year.

Now, the Cumberland County Attorney's Office is coming to the rescue by giving Mathis free warehouse space on county property.
