Cumberland County Eighth-Grader Charged With Felony In School Grafitti Incident

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County investigators have arrested and charged a 14-year-old student with writing threatening graffiti at Pine Forest Middle School.

The graffiti, which was posted in a girl's bathroom, mentioned racial slurs and made references to the shooting at Columbine High School.

The eighth-grader was charged with felony communicating threats and disorderly conduct. The student could be suspended or expelled.

The student is currently being held in Cumberland County's Juvenile Detention Center.
