From Sally in Raleigh

I was on vision quest by myself in woods before a women's retreat that was to start on 9/11. My youngest daughter was living in NYC (following her dream to be on Broadway). She left NYC at 6:30 am on 9/11, but when I arrived at the camp for the retreat, I learned of the attacks & that my child did not arrive at the airport.

Long & short -- she was fine but was stuck in Minneapolis. 2 men from Canada took her under their wings. She finally got to Montana because 1 stayed with her until they could get a flight out on Friday evening & he could rent a car in Great Falls to drive her to the Black Tail ranch to join her mother & the others.

How has your life changed in the 10 years since the 9/11 attacks?

As a result, at least something GOOD came out fo 9/11. 1. We women who were there were able to come together to help one another & to send our intent to prevent further violence. 2. My daughter is now married to the kind-hearted man who insisted she get to her mother. They have 3 beautiful children, so I have 3 beautiful grandchildren. What more can a mother want than a happy, healthy child (other than happy, healthy grandchildren)?
