RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have put an alert out for Richard Lee Elliott, who escaped from the Sandhills Correctional Facility in McCain on Feb. 13.
Elliott was being held for robbery, and Raleigh police claim he is a suspect in a Feb. 27 armed robbery of two St. Augustine students near Hill St. and Booker Dr.
Elliott is also wanted by Raleigh police for questioning related to other crimes committed since his escape.
Elliott is a 5-foot-10, 19-year-old black man, weighing 160 pounds. If anyone has information about him, they are asked to contact the Raleigh Police Department at
