FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville police said several recent break-ins and sexual assaults in the city could be connected.
Investigators are looking into three burglaries, two of which involved sex crimes.
According to police, those incidents happened at a private residence on Ryan Street and at Brookstone Apartments and the Village at Cliffdale Apartments.
Police said the suspect used a handgun in two of the incidents. So far, police said that they do not have a very good description of the man.
Residents have been warned to be cautious, but not through the city's telephone alert system.
Fayetteville police said they were going to use the City Watch program, a reverse 911 system that automatically calls residents to warn them about incidents in their neighborhoods. Residents who live in the areas where the crimes took place said they have not received calls yet.
