FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Police have charged a man with the murder of his girlfriend's infant daughter.
Emergency workers found an unresponsive 5-month-old girl inside an apartment at the Cambridge Arms Complex around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. They took her to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Doctors found what they called "suspicious brusing" on the baby and alerted police.
Police spoke with the mother and her boyfriend, Adam Sacks. Sacks was charged with first-degree murder and felony child abuse.
