RALEIGH, N.C. — A Triangle man will plead guilty for his role in a local terrorism ring.

According to court documents, a hearing to accept a guilty plea from Dylan Boyd, 23, will happen Sept. 14 in Raleigh.

Boyd's father, Daniel Boyd, and brother, Zakariya Boyd, pleaded guilty to terrorism related charges earlier this year.

Dylan Boyd was scheduled to be tried alongside Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, 23, Ziyad Yaghi, 22, and Hysen Sherifi, 26, starting  on Sept. 19 in New Bern.

Daniel Boyd's attorneys are trying to keep doctors who evaluated his mental state from testifying during that trial.

A total of eight local men and one man in Kosovo were accused in a plot to attack people overseas or in the U.S., including a Marine base in Virginia.
