Raleigh pedestrian struck, killed

A vehicle struck and killed a Raleigh man walking across the intersection of Falls of Neuse and Sandy Forks roads Wednesday morning, according to police.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A vehicle struck and killed a Raleigh man walking across the intersection of Falls of Neuse and Sandy Forks roads Wednesday morning, according to police.

Nanda Lal Poudel, 67, lived nearby and was walking to a class at a church down the street around 9 a.m. when he was struck, police said.

No charges were filed against the driver, Aida Isabel Medelmoss, 28, of Raleigh.

The crash was still under investigation Thursday, and officers were trying to find and speak with witnesses. Anyone with information should call 919-834-HELP.
