RALEIGH, NC — Two inmates assigned to the Wake Correctional Center escaped this morning while on work detail.
Brian Carver
and
Anthony Humble
were working on landscaping at the State Highway Patrol Headquarters on Garner Road when they took off in their supervisor's truck.
Carver, 21, was serving a 1-year, 10-month sentence for common law robbery. He was due to be released in November 2002.
Humble, 22, was serving a 1-year, 8-month sentence for a New Hanover County breaking and entering incident. He was due to be released in April 2002.
The truck that they escaped in is a 1993 White Ford Extended Cab Pick-Up, with yellow state license tags, number PS-7822.
