CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Considering its reputation, UNC-Chapel Hill is a bargain when it comes to in-state tuition.
In fact, it is not even the most expensive of the
UNC System's
16 campuses.
When tuition and student fees are combined, N.C. State University is the most expensive school in the system for in-state residents at $3,228 per semester.
UNC-Chapel Hill ranks second at $3,219.
Tuition and fees at UNC-Greensboro and UNC-Wilmington are about $600 less.
According to the UNC System Web site, Fayetteville State, at $1,770 per semester, is the least expensive school in the state system.
