More Stores, Restaurants Added To The Streets Of Southpoint

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — The Streets At Southpoint is taking shape. More stores and restaurants were added Wednesday to the list of tenants.

Mall officials announced 36 new stores that will be part of The Streets of Southpoint. Among the stores announced Wednesday were: Williams Sonoma, Restoration Hardware, Cinnabon and The Children's Place. The mall will have 136 different stores, some to make the seasoned shopper swoon.

"I think we are really rounding out a terrific women ready-to-wear mix and lineup. We are bringing in Ann Taylor Loft, which will be exclusive to this market," said Rick Polley, general manager of The Streets of Southpoint.

Forty stores, from Eddie Bauer Home Store to the teen-targeted mishmash, will be exclusive to the Triangle market. Mall managers believe they have the right retail mix.

"I think we definitely hit the nail on the head here. I think we are going to have something for everybody -- great dining and entertainment experiences, very focused on families and children," Polley said. "It is going to be a very friendly, very neat environment to be in."

The new mall is scheduled to open March 8 at 10 a.m, but some of the anchor stores may open a few days before that.
