Suspects Sought In UNC Armed Robbery

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The Chapel Hill Police Department is searching for two armed robbers.

Police said two UNC-Chapel Hill students were robbed around 9 p.m. Saturday in a parking area behind Morehead Planetarium. The students, a male and female, were not hurt, but police said that some money was taken from them.

The students gave police the following descriptions of the men -- both white males believed to be in their early 20s.

The gunman was between 5'9" and 5'10",was of a medium build and had blonde hair and facial hair. He wore a dark gray toboggan, baggy pants and a dark-colored coat that came down below his waist and opened in the front.

The second suspect was about 5' 9" tall and had a thin build. He had brown hair and wore dark-colored baggy clothes.
