WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — One person was injured Thursday morning in a wreck that involved a vehicle and a state Highway Patrol cruiser.
Trooper G.H. Frayer was travelling down FowlerRoad, which crosses Highway 96 about 5 miles north of Zebulon, when he ran a stop sign. A Chevy Blazer on Highway 96 then struck the trooper, and the Blazer overturned twice.
The driver of the Blazer, William Otto Glover of Youngsville, went to WakeMed with a cut on the head. He has since been released from the hospital.
