RALEIGH, N.C. — A Triangle builder is hoping a new house can save lives.
Bill Pinkus and a few local dignitaries broke ground Monday on the home in Holly Springs. Pinkus, together with WRAL-FM "Mix 101.5," will sell the home and donate the money to Duke Children's Hospital.
The sale will help kick off the station's ninth annual radiothon to benefit kids.
"We're in the neighborhood anyway building houses for sale, working our normal job," Pinkus said. "To build one more for charity and help out the kids is just something that was easy for us to do."
If the weather is good, the builder hopes to have the home ready for sale by May.
