RALEIGH, N.C. — Crews broke ground Monday on a multimillion-dollar facelift for the Western Boulevard corridor in Raleigh.
The project includes additional turn lanes, planted medians, and multi-purpose bike and pedestrian paths. The $3.6 million project is part of the 1998 Raleigh Road Bond.
The improvements will stretch along Western Boulevard from Pullen Park to Hunt Club Lane.
