FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Army soldiers from across the country took a vote and Fort Bragg came out on top.
Readers of the popular military newspaper,
"Army Times"
, chose Fort Bragg as the winner of the 2001
Best Post Award
.
In casting their votes, soldiers cited new construction, a quality lifestyle and a strong sense of community as the reasons why Fort Bragg stood out above the rest.
Fort Bragg also topped the list as the best place for singles, recreation and housing.
