<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Three people were injured Friday afternoon in a five-car accident on westbound Interstate 40 near Jones Sausage Road.

Reports say the three people were taken to WakeMed. There was a report of one person being seriously injured.

No names have been released, but police do say that ice was a contributing factor in the crash.

The incident caused traffic to be backed up for several miles.
