RALEIGH, N.C. — There are plenty of wireless communication devices out there, but now Motorola has come up with something they call the Personal Communicator, which combines the features of several wireless devices.
Offered at $199 with a monthly plan, Verizon has exclusive rights to the Personal Communicator. You get a lot in the little box -- digital phone, pager and more.
The Personal Communicator is voice-activated and has a built-in speakerphone. You can also surf the Internet.
Motorola includes a personal information manager, providing address book, calendar and more. Two-way text messaging is easy using the QWERTY keyboard. You can even send messages to other cell phones equipped to receive them.
The Personal Communicator is available now. Verizon has exclusive rights for the next several months.
