Web Site Serves Up Triangle Restaurant Options

Posted December 14, 2001

— With hundreds of restaurants in the Triangle, it can be hard to know about them all. An online directory can help make your next dining choice a bit easier.

TriangleMenu.com

puts more than 850 restaurants at visitors' fingertips. The site can be searched by type of cuisine or location. Maps, directions and coupons are available, too.

Most restaurants do not have to pay to be listed on the site. Featured restaurants pay about $600 a year for extras, including a list of menu choices.

The number of visitors to the site continues to grow, tripling since its launch in July. If its popularity continues, organizers of TriangleMenu.com hope to offer similar sites for other North Carolina cities.

TriangleMenu.com works to keep its database current by asking visitors to e-mail any restaurants that are not listed on the site so they can be added. Users can also report restaurants that are no longer in business.
