Teens Hope To Avoid Future Fender Benders With Driving Class

The class was held Sunday in the parking lot of Wakefield High School. Students learned how to stop quickly and safely, and how to maneuver around things they do not want to hit.

Some of the students like Kelly Young were surprised to learn their driver's ed books were outdated.

"It's kind of scary because they're teaching it to everybody. It's better to take this class and know what's right now," Young said.

A specially rigged car helps students learn what to do when their car starts to skid. It simulates driving on wet or icy roads. The day-long driving class cost $250.
