Traces of Anthrax Found at Local Postal Facility

RALEIGH — Trace amounts of anthrax have been found at the mail distribution center on Westgate Road.

Officials say the amount is so small, there is no need for alarm.

The bacteria was found inside a vault on some stamp stock that was sent here from the infected Brentwood facility in Washington, D.C.

The traces of anthrax was found after samples were sent to the CDC in Atlanta.

But again, officials say no one should be worried, because the amount of anthrax found was small
