IBM To Help Boost Medical Research In RTP

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK — IBM is expected to announce Thursday that it will provide much of the computing power necessary to boost health and medical research in North Carolina.
Big Blue will contribute hardware, software and the services needed to help the Research Triangle Park nonprofit group
develop a high-performance computer network.
The system can share computing power and data among universities, research centers, and biotechnology companies.
