CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — According to the town of Chapel Hill, most of the Greek organizations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill met Monday's deadline to install sprinkler systems.
All but seven of the school's fraternities and sororities met a town-issued deadline to have sprinkler systems installed by Monday. Five of those houses are closed for the year for renovations.
Chapel Hill issued the sprinkler mandate following a deadly fire at Phi Gamma Delta five years ago.
