FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Most Sprint workers in North Carolina should survive the latest round of layoffs.
The long distance company has announced it will lay off 6,000 employees, but less than 200 local workers will lose their jobs.
A Fayetteville company will add 250 jobs as part of a joint agreement. The city and county are using grant money to renovate the Advanced Internet Technologies Building and the company is more than doubling its workforce.
