The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Thursday on Highway 751, 2 miles south of the Durham County line.
The State Highway Patrol says a Ford Windstar, driven by 42-year-old Cynthia Cullen of Durham, was heading southbound when it crossed over the center line and hit a Lincoln-Continental head-on being driven by 49-year-old Marc Allen Cassel of Apex. Both drivers died in the accident.
