Durham Non-Profit Group Republishing Wendell Williamson's Book

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham non-profit group is republishing Wendell Williamson's book on mental illness.

Williamson is the former UNC student who shot and killed two people in downtown Chapel Hill in 1995. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity.

He has written a book about schizophrenia. His first publisher dropped the book after liability concerns.

The Durham-based Mental Health Communication Network is republishing the book. The proceeds will go to educational projects promoting mental health awareness.
