FAYETTEVILLE — Eighteen reservists from Fayetteville involved in Training Support are among the additional 1,722 Army reservists and Army National Guard members being called to active duty Tuesday as part of the partial mobilization authorized by President Bush.
The total number of Army reserve force soldiers called to active duty is now at 11,304.
The soldiers called to active duty in this call-up serve in 35 different units from 16 states and Puerto Rico. Among the specialties represented by these units are infantry and training support.
At any given time, services may mobilize some units and individuals while demobilizing others, making it is possible for these figures to either increase or decrease.
