Six Charged After Wilson Deputies Stop Tractor-Trailer Full Of Pot

Posted Updated

WILSON — Wilson County deputies say they have made the biggest pot bust in the county's history Monday.

Deputies pulled 944 pounds of marijuana off a tractor-trailer that had just pulled off of Interstate 95.

They say that the pot had made its way from Texas, one of the major suppliers to the east coast.

"We've had information that these individuals had been involved in tractor-trailer loads before, and probably every three to four months they were getting this much in," says Sheriff Wayne Gay.

Six men have been charged with the crime. Each man is being held in the Wilson County jail under $1 million bond.
